We are looking for a School Counselor

As a school counselor at Realgymnasiet, you will work as part of the student health team based on the Education Act. You will collaborate closely with teachers and the student health team to contribute to the best learning conditions for our students. You will meet with students, guardians, and staff who are offered profession-specific expertise in the form of conversations, support contacts, counseling, and guidance in the psychosocial area.

You will be proactive in the school's student health work together with all your colleagues. From your broad perspectives, you strive towards the common ambition of achieving goals for all students.

Realgymnasiet currently has about 90 students, and the position as a counselor is 20 percent. With the right competence profile, there may be opportunities for extension and, in the long run, to develop together with the school and thus obtain a higher working percentage. If you have additional areas of expertise, opportunities can also be sought there.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, we see that you have:

• A relevant education as a social worker or equivalent degree at the university level.
• Broad professional experience from social work and preferably previous experience in the role of a counselor within high school.

Further education in areas such as mental health, child and adolescent development, and conversation methodology is an advantage.
